Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $39 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Implement individualized therapy interventions following the OT plan of care to help patients regain functional independence
• Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner to support continuity of care
• Assist with patient and family education to promote understanding and engagement in the therapy process
• Communicate patient status and progress clearly to the supervising Occupational Therapist
• Follow all safety, infection control, and compliance protocols to ensure a safe environment
• Provide compassionate occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed OT

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Active state COTA license in Virginia (or ability to obtain before start)
• Strong teamwork and patient care skills
• Excellent communication and documentation skills

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

Knowledge & Skills

• Occupational therapy interventions and treatment techniques
• Patient care, documentation, and progress tracking
• Communication, teamwork, and patient education
• Infection control and safety compliance
• Understanding of state and federal regulations for OT practice
