Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth assessments to accurately evaluate clients' substance abuse history, psychological needs, and treatment preferences.
• Design and implement tailored treatment plans that integrate strategies for both addiction recovery and mental health improvement.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing methodologies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing (MI) to foster engagement and progress.
• Coordinate with a diverse treatment team to provide holistic care that addresses all aspects of the clients’ health and well-being.
• Educate and support families of clients, providing resources and strategies to assist them in the recovery process.
• Maintain comprehensive and confidential clinical records, adhering to HIPAA regulations and ethical guidelines.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with individuals struggling with substance use disorders, many of whom may also be navigating co-occurring mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, or trauma-related disorders. Our approach is trauma-informed, ensuring that all interactions respect the dignity and individual challenges faced by clients on their recovery journeys.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), or psychologist.
• A bachelor's degree in a related field is required, with preference given to candidates holding a master’s or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or similar disciplines.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices and therapies specific to substance abuse treatment.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a track record of effectively establishing rapport with clients.
• Strong communication abilities necessary for teamwork and client interaction.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in mental health counseling, with specific expertise in substance abuse treatment.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary treatment team setting.
• Experience in providing remote therapy services through telehealth platforms is a plus.
