Certified Medical Assistant Neurology

Position Overview Positions in this function involve a variety of duties in clinical and administrative patient care while adhering to the practice’s standards. Responsibilities include providing care to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients; assisting with examinations and treatments such as vital sign measurements; performing simple to moderate clinical/diagnostic procedures (e.g., urine, pregnancy, and throat cultures); preparing treatment rooms; supporting office clerical functions; and facilitating the efficient use of computer-based information. Location & Hours Location: 123 Summer St, Worcester, MA. Travel to other locations up to three times per month. Hours: First Shift, 38.75 hours per week – Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. No evenings, weekends, or holidays. Primary Responsibilities Perform clinical and administrative patient care duties while adhering to practice standards. Assist in the examination and treatment of geriatric patients by taking vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, height, and weight. Assist physicians and staff with simple to moderate clinical/diagnostic procedures such as urine cultures, blood glucose tests, and throat cultures. Prepare treatment rooms. Perform a variety of clerical functions to support office operations. Facilitate the efficient utilization of computer-based information. Required Qualifications Medical Assistant Certification (CMA or RMA) or willingness to attain certification within 180 days of the start date. Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS‑CPR) Certification or ability to obtain the designation within 30 days of employment. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of office and laboratory procedures. Knowledge of various software applications such as Microsoft Outlook and Word. Benefits & Compensation Hourly pay ranges from $17.74 to $31.63 per hour, based on local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications.
