Workers Compensation Specialist

Managing a large inventory of highly complex claims, the full-time California Senior Workers Comp Specialist will evaluate compensability and liability, lead comprehensive claims investigations, and negotiate claim settlements while working remotely from the USA. Key responsibilities Oversee and manage complex claims to assess liability and compensability Conduct thorough claims investigations and analyze coverage and damages Negotiate claim settlements and authorize payments within assigned limits Required qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Risk Management and Insurance, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience A minimum of 13 years of experience in property and casualty claims handling Preferred experience in California Workers' Compensation claims Completion of or progress toward a professional designation such as Associate in Claims (AIC) is preferred Expert knowledge of insurance policies, coverage, and claims handling procedures
