AccountStaff is assisting a client in filling the position of a Staff Accountant, a key role for the company. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional seeking a dynamic and rewarding position. The client is looking for a highly motivated Staff Accountant to manage diverse accounting responsibilities within a thriving, near-fully remote environment. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing transaction entries, assisting with monthly and annual financial close processes, and performing reconciliations that ensure accuracy and compliance. You'll collaborate closely with internal teams, support audits, and contribute to process improvements—making a tangible impact on financial integrity and operational efficiency.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP accounting standards
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and overall MS Office suite
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with Oracle highly desired
• Familiarity with journal entries, reconciliations, and expense allocations
• Service industry experience preferred

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience, especially in fast-paced environments
