Job Description

The AI Integration Specialist is responsible for identifying, developing, deploying, and maintaining AI-enabled automation and integrations across KENTECH's business operations and technology environment. This is a hands-on technical contractor role that works across Human Resources, Recruiting, Sales, Client Success, Operations, Investigations, and KENTECH's technology platforms to identify opportunities where AI, automation, and system integration can improve efficiency, accuracy, scalability, and user experience. The AI Integration Specialist works directly with department leaders to understand business workflows, identify appropriate automation opportunities, prioritize projects based on organizational impact, and develop working solutions. This role is expected to write code, manage integrations, troubleshoot technical issues, document solutions, and support responsible adoption of AI across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with department leaders across Human Resources, Sales, Operations, Investigations, Client Success, and other functions to identify AI and automation opportunities.
• Conduct workflow discovery to understand existing processes, pain points, repetitive tasks, data flows, and opportunities for improvement.
• Evaluate potential AI initiatives based on business impact, feasibility, security, compliance, scalability, and implementation effort.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy AI-enabled solutions using approved technologies and platforms.
• Develop integrations using technologies such as OpenAI, AWS AI services, Google AI, Azure AI, or other approved solutions based on the business need.
• Build AI-enabled functionality and integrations supporting KENTECH's internal systems and technology platforms.
• Develop automation across eKnowID, ClarityIQ, and other approved company systems where appropriate.
• Write and maintain code supporting AI workflows, integrations, automation, and data processing.
• Develop and maintain API connections between approved business applications and systems.
• Troubleshoot API, authentication, data-transfer, workflow, and integration issues.
• Use AI, natural language processing, automation scripting, and robotic process automation where appropriate to reduce manual work.
• Develop solutions that improve operational efficiency, accuracy, consistency, or employee productivity.
• Build prototypes and proof-of-concept solutions before broader deployment when appropriate.
• Test AI and automation solutions prior to production deployment.
• Monitor deployed solutions for accuracy, reliability, speed, performance, and unintended behavior.
• Identify and resolve performance or integration issues affecting deployed solutions.
• Maintain version control for code, integrations, configurations, and other technical assets.
• Document AI tools, integrations, workflows, dependencies, configurations, and operational requirements.
• Create documentation that allows non-technical stakeholders to understand the purpose, function, and appropriate use of deployed solutions.
• Maintain technical documentation sufficient for ongoing support, troubleshooting, and future development.
• Provide basic training and guidance to employees and department leaders using AI-enabled tools or workflows.
• Support adoption of approved AI solutions by helping users understand capabilities, limitations, and appropriate use.
• Partner with Product and technical resources when integrations affect KENTECH's applications, architecture, APIs, or product roadmap.
• Coordinate with Human Resources and leadership when AI solutions affect employee workflows, recruiting, workforce processes, or internal policy.
• Ensure AI implementations comply with KENTECH's approved security, access-control, data-handling, and technology requirements.
• Evaluate data exposure, permissions, access, and security implications before deploying integrations.
• Identify and escalate AI, privacy, security, or compliance risks before implementation.
• Support compliance with applicable privacy, data-protection, contractual, and security requirements.
• Maintain appropriate human oversight for AI-enabled workflows where business, compliance, or risk considerations require review.
• Prevent unauthorized use of sensitive employee, applicant, client, investigative, or company data within AI systems.
• Continuously evaluate deployed solutions and recommend improvements based on performance, user feedback, business needs, and emerging capabilities.
• Research emerging AI technologies and recommend tools or approaches that may provide meaningful business value.
• Support development of scalable standards and documentation for AI use across KENTECH.
• Protect confidential employee, applicant, client, investigative, technical, and company information.
• Perform additional AI integration and automation activities within the agreed scope of the engagement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in AI/ML development, AI engineering, automation development, systems integration, or a related technical role.
• Hands-on experience developing with AI or machine-learning technologies such as OpenAI, TensorFlow, PyTorch, AWS AI services, Google Cloud AI, Azure AI, or comparable platforms.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, R, or another relevant programming language.
• Demonstrated experience developing API integrations.
• Experience with automation scripting and workflow automation.
• Experience deploying AI-enabled applications, integrations, or automation into production environments.
• Demonstrated ability to work across multiple applications, data sources, and business systems.
• Strong understanding of APIs, authentication, web services, data exchange, and integration concepts.
• Experience troubleshooting integrations and technical workflows.
• Understanding of AI model performance, testing, monitoring, and optimization.
• Strong documentation and version-control practices.
• Experience with Git or comparable version-control tools.
• Working knowledge of data privacy, access control, information security, and responsible AI practices.
• Understanding of GDPR, CCPA, SOC 2, and other applicable data-protection or security requirements as they relate to AI-enabled workflows.
• Ability to identify and communicate technical, privacy, security, or compliance risks associated with proposed integrations.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.

• Experience in background screening, investigations, legal technology, HR technology, financial compliance, or another regulated environment.
• Experience working with investigative or case-management systems.
• Experience integrating AI with CRM, HR, recruiting, operations, or customer-service systems.
• Experience with HubSpot or comparable CRM platforms.
• Experience implementing AI or automation across multiple departments or business functions.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and services within AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with robotic process automation or workflow-orchestration tools.

• Experience establishing standards, governance, or documentation for organizational AI adoption.
