Software engineer

Akkodis is recruiting for a SW development enginee r for an aerospace manufacturer. This is a remote contract position with a pay range of $50 an hour to $90 an hour depending on education, experience and location. These roles will support military tools programs, contributing to software development tasks in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software solutions using Python and C# . Be able to pass a coding test in either or both languages.
- Apply object-oriented programming principles to design and implement robust applications.
- Utilize GitHub for version control and collaborate on code reviews.
- Write and maintain requirements and test procedures for software components.
- Participate in Agile sprints and manage tasks through Rally .
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration and compliance with program standards.
- Support occasional on-site activities, including integration and customer meetings.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of professional software development experience.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Python and C# .
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming .
- Experience with GitHub , Visual Studio , and VS Code .
- Additional Skills:
- Ability to write requirements and create test procedures.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and sprint planning. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in aerospace or automotive industries (or adjacent fields).
- Knowledge of Cameo and SmartBear tools.
