- Mechanical skills and knowledge of mechanical systems
- Running diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpreting the results to offer suitable solutions
- Inspecting vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering and exhausts
- Conducting field visits in the case of an emergency or sudden breakdown
- Test driving repaired vehicles to gauge their performance
- Repairing and maintenance heavy construction equipment
- Ensuring equipment is always ready for use.
- Ensuring all critical parts are checked and tested
- Performing basic automotive care, including changing oil and rotating tires
- Performing oil changes and tire rotations.
