CT Technologist Position

This CT Technologist position is a 13-week, temp-direct assignment based in Farmington, Connecticut. You will work within a modern hospital-based imaging environment that supports high-quality patient care and advanced diagnostic services. The department emphasizes collaboration, professionalism, and patient safety, providing CT imaging around the clock to serve emergency, inpatient, and outpatient populations. As a CT Technologist, you will be an essential member of the care team, contributing to timely and accurate diagnosis for a diverse patient mix. In this role, you will perform a full range of CT procedures, including routine studies, contrast-enhanced exams, emergent imaging for trauma and stroke, and inpatient follow-up scans. You will be responsible for verifying physician orders, preparing and screening patients, positioning them for optimal imaging, selecting appropriate protocols, and operating CT equipment safely and efficiently. Radiation safety and adherence to departmental policies and regulatory standards are central to the position, alongside accurate documentation in the EMR and coordination with radiologists for image review and interpretation. The schedule consists of 12-hour night shifts, every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, from 7:30 p.m. to 8:00 a.m., for a total of 36 hours per week. This stable weekend-night schedule offers predictability and the opportunity to enjoy weekdays in Farmington and the greater Hartford region. The patient volume at night typically includes emergent cases from the emergency department, urgent inpatient exams, and selected scheduled studies, balancing periods of high acuity with quieter times for thorough imaging and documentation. An on-call rotation is required as part of this role, and there is a possibility of mandated coverage to meet patient care needs. This provides additional opportunities to gain experience with higher-acuity cases and to engage closely with emergency and critical care teams. You will collaborate with a supportive group of technologists, nurses, and physicians who value strong communication, reliability, and teamwork, helping new staff integrate smoothly into the workflow.
