Pharmacy Technician
Brandywine, MD Pay From: $24
MUST:
- 3 years of experience as a pharmacy technician
- Recent experience working in a high volume retail/outpatient pharmacy a must
- Experience assisting patients on phone and in person
- Experience processing refills
- Strong computer skills and ability to verify insurance
- Experience following up on rejected prescriptions
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong data entry skills
- Comfortable working in a very fast paced environment
- Active Pharm Tech license in the state of MD
- If not certified in the state of Maryland must be nationally certified and willing to become state certified
DUTIES:
- Greet patients in person and over the phone in a very high volume setting
- Process prescriptions
- Verify insurance
- Handle high volume data entry
- Follow up with insurance companies on rejected prescriptions
- Document patient information in computer system
- Provide customer service support
- Greet customers and answer phones
