The role provides supervision and programmatic decision-making. Responsibilities include completing mental status exams utilizing DSM‑IV knowledge, providing supportive counseling, acting as advocate, supporting daily living activities, designing and facilitating therapeutic groups, and planning community integration plans. Duties and Responsibilities Develop and implement individual programs for residents and provide case management functions as directed. Provide supervision and program implementation. Document as required: monthly summaries, behavioral/psychiatric assessments. Conduct mental status exams. Provide supportive counseling for personal, behavioral, or social challenges. Develop and enforce behavior management plans. Advocate for residents with external agencies. Interface with families within consent limits. Design and facilitate therapeutic groups. Plan and implement community integration plans. Maintain communication with medical professionals and ancillary service providers. Assist and train residents in self-care to maximize independence. Ensure a safe clean living environment. Respond to crisis situations per agency protocol. Encourage constructive leisure use. Escort residents to appointments. Attend staff and resident meetings. Attend in‑service as directed by supervisor and required by funders and regulatory bodies. Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team. Conduct fire drills and building inspections and document them. Report all issues to supervisor or director. Remain on duty until relieved. Maintain current certification in CPR, First Aid, and Crisis Intervention; adhere to program standards. Perform CPR and crisis intervention per agency protocols. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications, Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field (medicine, social work, psychology, nursing, occupational therapy, recreational therapy, vocational rehabilitation) with one year experience in adult behavioral health services, OR bachelor’s degree in another field with two years experience. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage competing priorities. Strong attention to detail. Strong time management and organizational skills. Must be able to perform CPR and crisis intervention per agency protocols. Excellent customer interaction, collaboration, presentation, and written and verbal communication skills. Basic experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience with EHR/EMR preferred. Valid driver’s license in state of residence, minimum two years of driving experience within the US, and acceptable driving record.
