Join a dynamic team as a Machine Operator, where you will be an integral part of either the Twin Screw Compound Operator line or the Extrusion line. Gain unique experience in a company unlike many others, with comprehensive training provided.

Responsibilities

• Set up the compounder, including correct screw removal and installation, machine setup, feeder operation, calibration, feeder cleaning, and cooling tower operation.
• Operate the compounder with attention to temperature settings, feeder operation, and cooling tower operation.
• Operate and set up extrusion machines, monitor and adjust settings, handle products as they come off the line, and correctly place adhesives in boxes.
• Conduct inspections and ensure adherence to procedures and methods, maintaining a strong safety orientation.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical aptitude and experience in machine operation.
• Ability to operate, troubleshoot, and set up machines, specifically in compounding and extrusion.
• Familiarity with blueprints and hand tools.
• Experience with general labor and preventive maintenance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• At least 6 months of experience in a mechanical role, such as machine operation, construction, or mechanics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly and adapt to changes.
• Capability to learn and handle multiple processes.

Work Environment

Work in a clean, spacious, and team-oriented environment, with machines producing fiber, composite, and adhesive materials. Expect to get dirty at times, but with uniforms and showers provided. Operate in a 3rd shift from 11pm to 7am, Sunday through Thursday, with occasional overtime. Enjoy a collaborative setting with three employees managing two machines, fostering a supportive team atmosphere.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St Paul, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
