Role Description The Assistant Store Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Grand Rapids, MI, responsible for supporting overall store operations and delivering an elevated customer experience. This role partners with the Store Manager to lead the sales team, drive revenue, and ensure visual merchandising and brand standards are consistently met. Daily responsibilities include coaching team members on clienteling and service, monitoring store performance metrics, and assisting with scheduling, floor coverage, and operational tasks such as opening/closing procedures. The Assistant Store Manager helps oversee inventory management, supports retail loss prevention efforts, and ensures compliance with company policies. This role also contributes to talent development through training, feedback, and fostering an inclusive, performance-driven store culture. Qualifications Strong customer-focused skills, including Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction, with a proven ability to deliver a luxury client experience. Effective Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and the ability to provide constructive feedback to team members. Store Management capabilities, including experience overseeing daily operations, coaching teams, and driving sales and key performance indicators. Knowledge of Retail Loss Prevention practices, including shrink control, adherence to security procedures, and maintaining a safe store environment. Prior retail leadership experience in fashion or luxury retail strongly preferred. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak retail periods as needed. Demonstrated skills in problem solving, organization, and time management in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and basic computer applications; familiarity with sales reporting is beneficial.
