Step into an engaging role where your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist makes a true difference for students. This contract opportunity, based near Hockessin, DE, offers the chance to work in both school and homebound settings, providing essential support to learners with diverse communication needs. This flexible position starts August 25, 2026, and continues through June 8, 2027, with the option for either part-time or full-time hours—37.5 per week—across a Monday through Friday schedule.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Current Delaware SLP license required
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Experience working in school environments preferred
  • Willingness to split time between district schools and homebound student visits
  • Strong assessment, therapy, and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with families, teachers, and support staff

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students in school buildings and to those requiring homebound services within the district
  • Conduct assessments, develop and implement IEP goals, and document progress
  • Communicate with parents, teachers, and other service providers to ensure cohesive support for each student
  • Adapt therapy plans as needed considering caseload fluctuations and unique student requirements
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with district and legal standards
