The Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative designated birthing center at Columbus Regional Health provides a full range of baby delivery services welcoming over 1,300 babies each year. Each LDRP room boasts state-of-the-art equipment and is on the same level as a designated C-section OR suite. The birthing center offers two levels of nursery care and includes a physician lounge equipped with a screen for fetal monitoring of each patient.

Opportunity Highlights

• Access to Cleveland Clinic’s knowledge and best practices while still working for an independent health system with a supportive and collaborative leadership team
• EPIC EMR
• 7 on/7 off, 12-hour on-site shifts
• Responsible for emergency department consults in addition to rounding on pediatric inpatients, nursery, and newborns
• Level I and II nursery
• Average births per year is 1,300
• Pediatric unit 1-3 patient average (4-6 average during busy season)
• 17 bed birthing center supported by nurses that are cross-trained to provide labor/delivery, postpartum, and newborn care

Required procedures with recent experience: neonatal resuscitation, intubation, lumbar puncture, circumcision (on-site training available), emergency needle thoracentesis, umbilical lines, CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, IV fluids, tube feedings, antibiotics

Required: NRP and PALS certified
