IT Category Manager

Kforce has a client that is seeking an IT Category Manager in Doral, FL. Summary: The strategic sourcing/procurement position is focused specifically on IT products and services. The Category Manager will own sourcing activities, supplier evaluations, RFP/RFI/RFQ processes, negotiations, cost optimization, and vendor relationships while partnering with IT and business leadership. Key Responsibilities:

Strategically source a portfolio of IT products and services
Develop and manage RFQs, RFIs, and RFPs
Evaluate suppliers and analyze bids for cost, quality, and business value
Negotiate commercial terms and technology-related contracts
Develop strategic supplier relationships
Reduce total cost of ownership and deliver savings targets
Perform sourcing-related project management
Establish analytics and reporting for assigned categories
Partner with senior stakeholders and operating companies
Monitor market trends and incorporate them into sourcing strategies
Bachelor's degree plus 5-7 years of related experience, or Advanced degree plus 5-10 years of related experience
Education: IT-related, Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related
Preferred Certification CPM or equivalent
