DevSecOps Solution Architect

Salary: $100,000 - 175,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a closely related technical discipline.
• You must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust, suitability determination, or other required clearance level.
• We are looking for 7–10 years of progressive experience in software engineering, DevOps, DevSecOps, cloud architecture, cybersecurity engineering, or a related field.
• You should have demonstrated success designing and delivering enterprise DevSecOps solutions in complex environments.
• You need experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines that enable secure software delivery.
• You should have hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code frameworks and automated deployment approaches.
• You need experience embedding automated security controls and testing into delivery pipelines.
• You should have experience supporting federal cybersecurity compliance requirements and security authorization activities.
• You need experience leading technical teams and providing architectural direction across multiple projects or programs.
• You should have experience supporting cloud migration, application modernization, or digital transformation efforts.
• You need strong knowledge of secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC) practices.
• We require strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure.
• You should have experience with GitHub Enterprise Server/Cloud, JFrog Artifactory, JFrog Xray, SonarQube, GitHub Advanced Security, GitHub Copilot, and Subject7.
• You need knowledge of container and infrastructure technologies including Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS), Virtual Machines, Application Gateway, App Services, Key Vaults, ServiceNow, CyberArk, and Terraform.
• You should have experience implementing security automation and vulnerability management capabilities.
• You need a strong understanding of application security principles, secure coding practices, and threat modeling.
• You should know federal cybersecurity frameworks and standards, including NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, NIST SSDF, FISMA, RMF, and Zero Trust Architecture.
• You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical topics to varied audiences.
• Preferred certifications include Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), and Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS).

• We design, implement, and maintain enterprise DevSecOps architectures that embed security across the full SDLC.
• We develop and refine CI/CD pipelines that support automated, secure, and dependable application delivery.
• We define reference architectures, technical standards, engineering patterns, and DevSecOps best practices.
• We build Infrastructure as Code solutions to automate provisioning, configuration management, and deployment.
• We integrate automated security testing into delivery pipelines, including SAST, DAST, SCA, container and image scanning, secret detection and credential controls, and infrastructure security scanning.
• We design secure cloud-native and hybrid-cloud architectures using modern platform capabilities and security controls.
• We ensure adherence to federal cybersecurity mandates such as NIST, FISMA, RMF, Zero Trust, and agency-specific standards.
• We support continuous Authority to Operate efforts by preparing architecture artifacts, security documentation, risk assessments, and compliance evidence.
• We assess emerging tools and technologies to improve platform security, efficiency, scalability, and resilience.
• We lead architecture reviews, technical design sessions, and security evaluations.
• We develop approaches that reduce technical debt and improve maintainability and operational performance.
• We create technical roadmaps that align DevSecOps capabilities with organizational goals and modernization efforts.
• We mentor and guide DevSecOps engineers, software developers, and infrastructure teams.
• We support incident response, vulnerability remediation, and continuous monitoring activities as needed.
