Emerging Talent Team Intern (Summer)

Department: Office of Talent Acquisition Date Posted: Mar 12, 2026 Description Department: People Location: 2 Broadway, New York, NY 10004 Position Title: Emerging Talent Intern Hourly Rate: $19.00 (Undergraduate) All internship positions are onsite and require regular, in‑person attendance at the designated work location. The Emerging Talent team is responsible for attracting, engaging, and developing early‑career talent for the MTA. We manage internship programs, student outreach, and recruitment initiatives to build a strong pipeline of future professionals. Responsibilities Build a termination, continuation, and exit request database. Perform code cleanups to optimize system performance and maintainability. Manage repository setup and updates for internal forms, templates, and program documentation. Support scheduling and logistics for external events, including career fairs, partner visits, and programming tours. Track program data, participation, and milestones using internal systems and spreadsheets. Assist with preparing reports, summaries, and dashboards for program leadership and stakeholders. Coordinate with internal teams to collect information, follow up on requests, and ensure timely completion of administrative tasks. Maintain documentation, workflows, and standard operating procedures to support program continuity and onboarding. Projects Support the maintenance and organization of a centralized tracker for termination, continuation, and exit requests. Assist with updating records, monitoring request statuses, preparing summaries, and ensuring documentation is complete and up to date. Assist with scheduling and coordination for external events such as career fairs, partner visits, and programming tours. Provide administrative support by managing calendars, tracking RSVPs, preparing materials, and documenting event details and outcomes. Support the organization and upkeep of program documentation, forms, and workflows. Assist with updating templates, maintaining shared repositories or drives, documenting procedures, and identifying minor process improvements to improve efficiency. Required Qualifications Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is a must. The candidate should possess organizational, analytical and communication skills. The candidate should be able to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively. The candidate should have a keen eye for detail and be able to work independently while being an active team player. Required Education Matriculated in an undergraduate program in good standing with at least 2.5 GPA. Major(s) Preferred: Human Resources, Management, Business Administration, Psychology, Organizational Psychology, Communications, General Liberal Arts, or related field.
