By leveraging their expertise in troubleshooting commercial HVAC equipment and by collaborating across the engineering department, they help bring our new products to market.**Where is the work:**This is an on-site position located at our Trane Technologies HQ campus in Davidson, NC. This will be a 2nd Shift position (1:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.) Monday through Thursday after a training period on regular 1st shift hours.**What you will do:*** Prioritize workplace safety and follow all company and lab policies and procedures.* Support the troubleshooting and repair of commercial HVAC systems and equipment including the lab facilities and products under test.* Support the installation, modification, troubleshooting and repair of developmental commercial HVAC equipment and components, following engineering, agency, and test requirements.* Support product development activities by operating commercial HVAC equipment, controlling test facilities, and collecting and reviewing experimental test data.* Work with engineers and other technicians to install and utilize laboratory test equipment including data acquisition systems, power analyzers, flow equipment, pressure, and temperature measurement devices.* Meticulously follow test instructions and lab procedures.* Assist in the repair or build of test facilities to expand the test capabilities of Trane Technologies.**What you will bring:*** Candidates without a degree are encouraged to apply; we prioritize practical experience, relevant skills, and alignment with our leadership principles* Associate’s Degree in HVAC (or related technical field); OR at least 5-years of relevant HVAC or compressor experience is required.* Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook) required* EPA Type Universal Certification or willingness to become certified**Annual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range:**$47,310.00 - $66,465.00**Compensation Type:**Exception Hourly**Incentive Eligible:**No**Sales Commission Eligible:**No**Disclaimer**: We strive to provide competitive compensation for this position, tailored to a variety of factors.
