Location: Ridgeland, SC 29936

Pay Rate: $20.00/hr

Shift: Monday - Friday 7am to 5pm

Coastal Employment is seeking a dependable and hardworking Equipment Cleaner / Shop Maintenance / Janitorial Associate for a growing construction and site preparation company. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment while supporting daily shop operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow within the construction industry. Employees will receive hands-on training to safely operate a variety of heavy equipment , allowing them to gain valuable skills while supporting the daily maintenance and upkeep of the company's fleet.

Responsibilities:

• Clean and pressure wash construction equipment, machinery, and company vehicles.
• Remove dirt, grease, mud, and debris from equipment to maintain a professional appearance.
• Assist with moving and positioning equipment as needed after completing company-provided equipment training.
• Keep the shop, work areas, and yard clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Sweep, mop, dust, and maintain shop floors and common areas.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms in both the shop and office areas.
• Empty trash containers and dispose of waste properly.
• Restock restroom and cleaning supplies as needed.
• Assist with general shop maintenance and housekeeping tasks.
• Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the shop and operations team.

Qualifications:

• Previous janitorial, shop maintenance, industrial cleaning, or general labor experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently and stay productive throughout the day.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Reliable transportation and excellent attendance.
• Positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work safely around heavy equipment and machinery.
• Willingness to learn and operate heavy equipment through company-provided training.
