Hugg & Hall Equipment Company is looking for someone with mechanical knowledge and customer service skills to join our team as a second shift (4:00pm-2:30am) Resident Field Service Technician. We are a full-service equipment company specializing in industrial and construction equipment since 1956. More information about us can be found below or on our website at THE POSITIONResident Service Mechanics function as part of the Service Team and are responsible for the care of various types of customer and company-owned equipment within a designated territory.In this role ,you will:Troubleshoot and repair a variety of equipment at various customer locations to bring each unit back to operational and safety standards.Effectively communicate with all involved parties including Salespeople, Coordinators, Managers, and Customers about possible downtime and job progress updates.Operate in a safe, efficient manner with minimal supervision, to decrease equipment downtime, while also maintaining safe working standards both on-site and during the operation of company vehicles.  COMPENSATION/BENEFITSCompetitive CompensationQuarterly Performance BonusesOvertime after 8 hours per dayFactory TrainingInsurance (Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurances, plus several supplemental benefits)Generous PTO PlanPaid Holidays401k with company match  REQUIREMENTSAbility to work second shift 4:00pm - 2:30amminimum 1 year of mechanical training/education, and/or experience in a related fieldpossessing or ability to obtain a complete line of tools including specialized tools needed to complete the job at the customer siteminimum 21 years of ageclean driving recordHigh school diploma or equivalent SKILLS THAT WILL SET YOU UP FOR SUCCESS MAY INCLUDE:above average communication skillsability to read or be trained in reading schematicsability to accomplish duties with accuracy and timelinessability to work independently with minimal supervision PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONSThis position:will be working in operating facilities and outdoors, traveling to customer locations. The employee will encounter varying weather conditions and temperatures. The normal auto hazards will apply.will be frequently working on equipment with potential hazards where appropriate safety equipment and practices are required.must be able to lift 50 pounds. Occasionally may be required to lift items weighing up to 100 pounds.
