Job Title: Household Manager & Family Assistant Location: Eatontown, NJ 07724 Employment Type: Part-time, 25-30 hours per week Schedule: Tuesday, Thursday 2pm-7pm Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 11am-4pm With some flexibility as needed Compensation: $30-35 per hour Start Date: ASAP Requirements: Maintain a smoke-free environment Reliable transportation Comfortable working in a fragrance-free environment CPR and First Aid certification preferred About Our Family We’re a vibrant family with five young children under 10. The other parent works with a flexible schedule, and both parents are frequently in and out of the home throughout the week. As our family grows and evolves, we are intentionally building a village of trusted support around us. We're not simply looking for someone to complete tasks. Key Responsibilities Household Organization & Maintenance Create and/or Maintain household organization systems Daily resets and prep home for cleaners (weekly) Light tidying (dishes, surfaces, vacuum high-traffic areas) Seasonal swaps (clothing, décor, bedding) Prepare and coordinate donation drop-offs Packing/unpacking for travel Indoor plant care Change batteries, light bulbs, smoke detectors, etc. Inventory & Errands Restock pantry, refrigerator, and household supplies Manage running household supply lists (hand soap, cleaning supplies, etc.) Manage household orders and subscriptions (Instacart, Amazon, Costco, and Target) Handle returns, dry cleaning, and gift shopping Mail and package handling Break down boxes Meal Planning & Prep Prepare 3 proteins weekly (e.g., roast chickens, steak, etc.) Prepare breakfast 2-3 times per week (pancakes with flax or buckwheat, eggs, muffins, etc.) Make grab-and-go items such as oatmeal, chia pudding, guacamole, and cut vegetables, etc. Prepare healthy kid-friendly snacks; Plate food and facilitate family meals when children come home from school Grocery shopping with attention to detail and high standards for produce quality Follow dietary preferences: whole foods, healthy, kid-friendly meals Maintain kitchen cleanliness and food safety protocols Complete kitchen clean-up and maintenance Laundry & Linen Care Wash, fold, and organize laundry Weekly linen rotation for sheets Maintain tidy and well-stocked laundry areas Vehicle Management Complete car washes and general vehicle cleaning Organize family vehicles and implement garbage system Fuel vehicles as needed Family Support & Child Assistance Pick-ups/drop-offs-regularly Light supervision / back-up childcare Prep backpacks/clothing/snacks Kid-related errands Deep Cleaning & Special Projects Occasional deep cleans (fridge, oven, baseboards, couch) Refresh garage/mudroom/entry Clean humidifiers/air purifiers Organizational projects (toys, gear) Administrative & Personal Assistant Support Collaborate on travel planning and logistics Calendar management using Skylight system Collaborate on receipt and budget tracking Vendor & Property Oversight Research/coordinate repairs and quotes Manage outdoor spaces (create outside toy organizational system, etc) How to Apply Please submit a short intro letter, updated resume, and contact information for three professional references.
