Maintenance Manager

We are seeking a Leader who is motivated, organized, and solution-oriented to become our first Maintenance Managerto support our property management operations. Our Vision: Raise the Standard of Living Our Mission: To Glorify God Through Excellent Stewardship Our Core Values: Excellence in Everything | Relationship Builders | Speed is Life | Kickass Culture Primary Responsibilities LMA: Lead, manage, and bring accountability to our maintenance department and oversee our team of Maintenance Coordinators Oversee capital projects across a portfolio of properties Such as roof replacements, HVAC upgrades, or major renovations Ensure property compliance with local housing codes and manage inspection readiness Design and implement preventative maintenance schedules to prolong lifespan of building assets and minimize emergency repairs Conduct regular property walkthroughs Evaluate, negotiate, hire, and maintain vendor and contract relationships Improve cost efficiencies and maintain budget with proper prioritization, investigating irregularities, researching alternative solutions, and resource allocation Drive excellence in the department by hitting company KPIs Such as speed to completion for resident work orders, days to complete unit turns, and move in resident satisfaction Secondary Responsibilities Prioritize, assign, schedule, and oversee maintenance requests Maintenance and Unit Turn Serve as a point of contact for residents reporting maintenance issues Perform maintenance and Unit Turn tasks Lead AXIS Builder crews in the field Proactively suggest and implement preventative maintenance plans Qualifications Proven ability to lead and develop teams and individuals Must have a minimum of 5 years of maintenance supervisory experience or equivalent experience Proven experience in renovation, repair, and maintenance work, preferably in a rental property or similar setting Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with tenants, property managers, and fellow team members Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts to address urgent maintenance needs Ability and willingness to travel (typically day trips) Strong, comprehensive understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety systems Problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and see beyond the issue in front of them A proactive approach, always anticipating and addressing potential maintenance issues before they escalated Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and willing to learn maintenance software Benefits A collaborative, mission-driven culture Competitive compensation based on experience, with potential bonuses Flexible hours designed to support a healthy work-life balance Career growth in a rapidly expanding and dynamic real estate firm Generous PTO and holiday breaks Comprehensive benefits including Vision, Dental, Life, and Disability insurance Paid weekly Apparel credit The team at AXIS is excited for this future partnership opportunity. #J-18808-Ljbffr Axis
