POSITION SUMMARY

The Court Monitor is responsible for overseeing the basketball courts during designated facility hours. The Monitor will enforce rules and policies, while ensuring a safe, fun area for members to interact and enjoy. This position may involve early morning, evening, and weekend responsibilities. This position requires active, face-to-face leadership within programs and Monday- Friday availability, from 4:30 PM - 7:30 PM. Saturday availability preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Maintains supervision of members utilizing the basketball courts Enforces safety standards Enforces facility rules Follows emergency procedures as needed Monitors the use of the facilities Maintains all areas in clean, presentable fashion Handles member complaints Deescalates situations as needed Performs any other functions necessary for the smooth and efficient operation of the YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids Association.

COMPENSATION

$14.35 - $17.93 ; Part-Time, Non Exempt (up to 25 hours per week)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Three to six months customer service, security, or supervision experience; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience required. Ability to interact with people of all ethnic backgrounds, ages and lifestyles. Ability to consistently enforce YMCA policies. Must be 18 years of age or older. Working knowledge of a computers and experience with a variety of software applications. YMCA experience preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION

State of Michigan criminal background clearance (ICHAT) Blood Borne Pathogen training CPR Certification required within the first 60 days First Aid Certification required within the first 60 days

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.

TRAVEL:
