Job Overview Full‑time faculty member to teach Software Engineering. Professional corporate/industry experience is a plus. We particularly welcome candidates who can contribute to the diversity and faith‑based mission of the university. Responsibilities Teach Software Engineering classes in an engaging manner, preparing lectures that stimulate classroom discussions. Help lead/support the academic degree programs. Network to provide internships and job placements. Remain current in the field of Computer Science and effective teaching techniques. Participate in faculty and CSET meetings and in College/University committee activities. Support the integrity of the GCU Christian mission, faith integration & learning outcomes. Required Qualifications Master’s Degree in Software Engineering or a related technical field from a regionally accredited institution. Extensive, advanced and current knowledge of computer science or a closely related field, including algorithms, architecture, and discrete structures. Ability to articulate a clear understanding of values‑based education from a Christian perspective. Minimum two years of teaching at the collegiate level, or industry experience that may be considered by the dean. Evidence of involvement in one’s professional area (membership in professional organizations, presentations, research and/or publications).
