Pharmacy Technician Instructor Position

divh2Pharmacy Technician Instructor/h2pIdeal School of Allied Health Care is seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Pharmacy Technician Instructor to train and mentor students in our Pharmacy Technician Program. The instructor will provide classroom instruction, hands-on lab training, and guidance to prepare students for certification and entry-level positions in the pharmacy field./ppResponsibilities:/pulliDevelop and deliver engaging course materials following the schools curriculum and industry standards./liliTeach students fundamental pharmacy skills, including medication preparation, prescription processing, dosage calculations, and pharmacy law./liliDemonstrate and oversee hands-on lab activities such as compounding and inventory management./liliPrepare students for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE) or ExCPT./liliAssess student progress through exams, projects, and practical demonstrations./liliProvide mentorship and career guidance to students, fostering a supportive learning environment./liliMaintain student records, attendance, and grades in accordance with school policies./liliStay current with industry trends and certification requirements./liliCollaborate with school administration and faculty to ensure program success./liliCertification as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred; relevant experience may be considered./liliStrong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmaceutical practices./liliProficiency in pharmacy software systems for efficient operations./liliExperience or familiarity with learning technology to enhance training processes is a plus./liliExcellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals./liliA commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to regulatory standards in pharmacy practice./li/ulpQualifications:/pullistrongEducation:/strong High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates or Bachelors degree in a related field preferred./lilistrongExperience:/strong Minimum 3 years of experience as a certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) in a retail, hospital, or compounding pharmacy setting. Prior teaching or training experience preferred./lilistrongCertifications Licensure:/strong Active CPhT certification from PTCB or NHA required. Must meet state licensing requirements for pharmacy technician instructors.
