ES Application Architect

This role is within the Enterprise Services team that provides API’s that are used by company’s critical applications such as Online Banking, Mobile App, Online Account Opening, Branch Teller Systems, IVR, Alerts, Collections, Loan Applications, Financial Insights, and Offers. Will be responsible for partnering with internal and external partners to design solutions between systems using various technologies (IBM’s ACE, Java, ReST APIs) products as the ES Framework.

Detailed Description

• Adhere to structured development lifecycle methodology
• Develop, Drive & Maintain Enterprise Services Roadmap and best practices.
• Deliver integration solution architecture and high-level designs for based on business requirements, overall solution from solution architect, and channel requirements
• Be the SME in the for IBM DataPower, IIB, Java, and Interact platforms. Continuously pursue expertise in these platforms and keep up to date with latest vendor developments. Asses the current direction of Huntington’s utilization of these platforms and provide recommendations on how to best apply their capabilities.
• Create Proof of Concept deliverables as business needs require them and provide recommendations on how to implement requirements in these systems

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Minimum of 5 years of architecture experience
• Proficient in SOA architecture and standards.
• Requires expert grasp of structured development methodology, i.e. RUP/Use Cases, Agile Development, etc.
• Strong analytic, problem solving, decision-making skills and proven ability to discern critical from minor problems
• Strong interpersonal skills in areas such as facilitation, negotiation, and the ability to work with internal customers and vendors
• Well-developed written/verbal communication skills, planning and organizational skills are required. Must possess the ability to multitask and pay close attention to detail
• Must be able to work in a team environment, as well as independently with minimal supervision and work well under pressure. Ability to coordinate activities with other technical staff and contractors as required
• Must be able to adapt to a variety of assignments and manage a number of projects and deadlines. Proven ability to scope/size projects
• Experience creating and implementing Web Services (SOAP and RESTful).
• Knowledge of WebSphere Business Integration technologies- WESB, IIB,, WAS, DataPower, and IBM Interact
• Extensive experience in XSLT, XML, WSDL, ReST, WebSphere MQ, and Java/J2EE Application development.
• Knowledge of Oracle, DB2 databases, and CICS Gateway
• Experience with solutioning applications to run on Cloud (GCP, AWS)

Required Skills: This team is working with IBM products such as SOA and working with Java or .Net. Any cloud experience is considered a plus. They work with all cloud providers. They must have experience with APIs, they are moving from SOAP to REST. It is an agile team and working on their digital initiatives. They will not be developing but will be leading and will need to be able to speak with developers on the team. I will take a java architect,.Net architect, or SOA architect who has experience working with services, APIs, Rest, and SOAP.
