Warehouse Assistant

Job Description

The Warehouse Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting day-to-day operations within a small warehouse team. Reporting to a supervisor, this position involves handling order picking, receiving shipments, and ensuring safety compliance. The role adapts to seasonal fluctuations in workflow volume and pace, requiring strong collaboration and careful attention to documentation.

Responsibilities

Pick and prepare orders accurately for shipment
Receive and inspect incoming shipments
Operate forklifts safely and efficiently
Ensure compliance with safety protocols at all times
Maintain accurate documentation of inventory and shipments
Collaborate effectively with team members to meet operational goals

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

1+ years experience in warehouse operations
Forklift operation certification or experience
Knowledge of warehouse safety standards
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Strong time management abilities
Basic computer skills for documentation purposes
