In this role you will lead a variety of municipal infrastructure projects – including roadway, utility, and site development improvements. This is an exceptional opportunity to become a key member of our highly qualified, collaborative, and motivated team that makes a difference for local governments and the communities they serve.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee the design and delivery of civil engineering projects for municipal clients, including roadway, drainage, water, wastewater, and site development.Prepare, review, and approve design plans, specifications, and cost estimates.Coordinate with municipal clients, contractors, subconsultants, and regulatory agencies to ensure projects meet all applicable standards and permitting requirements.Lead project scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration efforts to ensure on-time, on-budget performance.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff.Conduct field visits, site evaluations, and progress inspections as needed.Prepare project reports, presentations, and documentation for municipal staff, elected officials, and public meetings.Education & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Civil EngineeringFlorida Professional Engineer (P.E.) license requiredMinimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible civil engineering experience, including project management.Proven experience delivering municipal infrastructure projects (public works, utilities, drainage, or transportation).Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office SuiteStrong understanding of FDOT standards, Florida stormwater regulations, and local government permitting processes.Familiarity with Broward County Environmental Protection and Growth Management Department (EPGMD) permitting process and local development standards.Experience with coordinating with agencies such as FDOT District 4, South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD), and Broward County Water and Wastewater Services.
