Hire, train, schedule, and oversee fleet maintenance staff. Approve and prioritize maintenance and repair work based on parts availability and operational needs. Coordinate and supervise work performed by outside vendors and service providers. Ensure all fleet vehicles and equipment are maintained, safe, and operating efficiently. Manage parts, tools, and supply inventory for the fleet shop. Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures in accordance with company standards. Assist with developing and managing the maintenance department’s operational budget. What we're looking for: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. CDL Class B with passenger and airbrake endorsements preferred. 5 plus years of experience repairing and maintaining heavy‑duty or transit fleet vehicles. 3 plus years of supervisory experience in a fleet or transportation maintenance environment. Strong understanding of mechanical systems for heavy‑duty vehicles. Familiarity with laws and regulations related to safe fleet maintenance operations. Proficient with Microsoft Office.
