This Construction Project Manager role focuses on leading complex commercial real estate and construction projects from inception to completion, with an emphasis on industrial and landlord-side work. You will manage planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution while fostering a collaborative culture and consistently delivering high-quality outcomes. The position offers a hybrid work profile and requires a positive attitude, strong leadership, and extensive industrial project experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive project management services for construction and commercial real estate projects, ensuring exceptional outcomes for clients.
• Manage and oversee all aspects of projects, including initial planning, scope definition, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and execution.
• Coordinate and lead project activities across the full lifecycle, from inception through closeout, ensuring alignment with client goals and expectations.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, including landlords, contractors, consultants, and vendors, to drive project success.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within approved budgets, and in accordance with agreed quality standards and specifications.
• Provide clear leadership and guidance to project teams, setting expectations, resolving issues, and empowering team members to perform at a high level.
• Monitor project performance, identify risks and issues early, and implement effective mitigation and corrective actions.
• Prepare and present project updates, status reports, and key metrics to stakeholders, maintaining transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, developing a deep understanding of their goals, operational needs, and long-term objectives.
• Apply an innovative and collaborative mindset to continuously improve project delivery methods and outcomes.
• Champion a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and belonging within project teams and across the organization.
• Support change management efforts on projects, helping stakeholders adapt to new processes, technologies, and environments.
• Ensure adherence to relevant construction processes, building codes, and industry standards throughout all phases of the project.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
• PMP certification or an equivalent project management certification.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, preferably within the commercial real estate industry.
• Demonstrated experience successfully managing complex projects from inception to completion.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide, motivate, and support cross-functional project teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage clients, stakeholders, and team members.
• Proven ability to collaborate with internal teams and external partners, including landlords and industrial stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound, timely decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Solid knowledge of construction, construction management, and project management practices.
• Expansive industrial project experience, particularly on the landlord side.
• Positive, professional attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field such as Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
• Experience leading projects across multiple sectors, including office, retail, industrial, and healthcare.
• Demonstrated experience in change management and driving innovation within project environments.
• Knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and applicable regulations.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Experience working within hybrid project delivery structures and frameworks.

Work Environment

This role follows a hybrid work profile, combining on-site project engagement with remote or office-based work as appropriate to project needs. Standard working hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., supporting predictable scheduling while accommodating project milestones and deadlines. The position involves regular interaction with industrial facilities, commercial properties, and landlord-side environments, requiring close coordination with contractors, consultants, and internal teams. Interviews for this role take place through three virtual interview sessions, reflecting a modern and flexible hiring approach. This is a Contract position based out of Walnut Creek, CA.

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $75.00/hr.
