Associate Attorney

Buffalo Biodiesel – Associate Attorney – $100,000/year Buffalo Biodiesel, a growing company that collects and recycles used cooking oil into biodiesel, is currently seeking an Associate Attorney to join our fast‑growing team. The successful candidate will be mentored by a former Supreme Court Justice and State Senator. This position will primarily involve drafting legal documents and other clerical work. General Counsel will handle most court work and appearances. The role requires onsite work from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm at 17 Court Street, Buffalo, NY 14202. Responsibilities Draft settlements, default judgments, summons and complaints, etc. Maintain accurate records of all legal activities and communications. Provide limited court work as necessary. Qualifications Permitted to practice law in New York State. Must be admitted to the NYS Bar Association. At least 2 years of legal drafting experience. Fluent understanding of electronic filing via NYSCEF. Excellent LexisNexis skills. Strong legal writing ability. Familiarity with legal administrative processes and procedures. Ability to work independently. Experience & Certification Legal drafting – 2 years required. NYS Bar Association membership – required. Benefits Salary: $100,000.
