Supervisor, Manufacturing

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Manufacturing Supervisor to lead daily operations of cleanroom teams producing thermal field emitters for electron microscopy in Hillsboro, Oregon. The role combines operational oversight with team development, organizational integration, and new product introduction activities in a precision manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily manufacturing operations with focus on safety, quality, delivery, and employee development
• Integrate multiple manufacturing departments into a coordinated workstream and manage departmental relocations
• Coach and develop employees; establish training maturity matrix tracking capability and qualification status
• Own production leadership for new product introductions including readiness assessment and execution
• Evaluate and update visual management systems to align with organizational standards

Requirements

• At least 4 years of team leadership experience in manufacturing or complex technical operations
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing production priorities while maintaining safety and quality
• Strong communication, planning, organization, and decision-making capabilities
• Experience using performance metrics and structured problem-solving for operational improvement
• Track record supporting new product introduction and manufacturing transitions
• Preferred: experience with operational consolidations, relocations, or significant transitions
• Preferred: familiarity with Lean, ISO quality systems, ADKAR, or similar improvement methodologies
