Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care for antepartum, labor and delivery (including high-risk), postpartum, and level 2 nursery patients following AWHONN staffing guidelines
• Manage a 1:1 ratio during active labor and 1:3 ratio during postpartum care within an LDRP and postpartum unit setting
• Care for gynecological surgical patients as needed
• Practice baby-friendly unit initiatives and support a safe, patient-centered environment
• Utilize EPIC (Community Works) for all clinical documentation and Pyxis for medication management
• Float to other units (e.g., med/surg, emergency department) on a rotating basis with permanent staff as census demands

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license (or confirmation that the application process has been initiated)
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience; 2 or more years preferred
• Experience in labor and delivery, postpartum, and level 2 nursery is required
• Current BLS certification
• Current NRP certification
• EFM competency required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of OB/GYN nursing experience including high-risk labor and delivery
• Familiarity with EPIC (Community Works) charting system and Pyxis medication dispensing
• Experience caring for antepartum and gynecological surgical patients
• Demonstrated dependability, positive attitude, and self-motivated work ethic
