You will be responsible for hiring highly specialized technical talent across engineering, software, hardware, manufacturing, and other critical functions. Success requires the ability to quickly understand complex technical requirements, identify niche talent pools, and engage credibly with highly sought-after candidates.This is a full-time, onsite role where you'll be embedded with our teams, working closely with hiring managers and technical leaders to drive hiring strategy and execution in a fast-paced startup environment.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn full-cycle recruiting for highly technical roles across the companyPartner closely with hiring managers and technical leaders to: Define role requirements, scope, and levelingDevelop effective interview and assessment strategiesCalibrate candidate profiles and ensure alignment throughout the hiring processProvide market insights and recommendations on talent availability, compensation, and hiring strategyBuild and execute targeted sourcing strategies across: High-growth technology companies and startupsAerospace and defense organizationsAdvanced manufacturing and hardware companiesResearch organizations and national laboratoriesTop engineering and technical universitiesProactively source and engage passive candidates through creative, high-touch outreachBuild strong pipelines for niche, specialized, and hard-to-fill positionsDeliver a high-quality candidate experience from initial outreach through offer and closeDrive offer strategy, negotiation, and closing for highly competitive talentTrack recruiting metrics, identify pipeline trends, and provide data-driven insights to hiring managers and leadershipContinuously improve recruiting processes, tools, sourcing strategies, and hiring practicesRequired Qualifications5+ years of technical recruiting experience, ideally supporting engineering, technology, hardware, manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or other highly technical organizationsProven track record recruiting for specialized and difficult-to-fill technical rolesStrong ability to understand complex technical requirements and translate them into effective recruiting and sourcing strategiesAbility to learn technical terminology quickly and credibly screen and engage technical candidatesDemonstrated experience sourcing passive talent through a variety of channels and creative sourcing methodsStrong stakeholder management skills with the ability to effectively partner with technical leaders and hiring managersExperience managing multiple searches and competing priorities in a fast-moving environmentStrong communication, organizational, and candidate management skillsHigh ownership mentality with the ability to identify problems, develop solutions, and drive work forward without waiting for directionComfortable operating in an ambiguous, rapidly changing startup environmentMust have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Secret/Top Secret security clearance.Desired QualificationsExperience recruiting within aerospace, defense, robotics, autonomous systems, advanced manufacturing, hardware, or other deep-tech environmentsExperience recruiting cleared or clearance-eligible talentExperience with Greenhouse ATSExperience helping build or scale recruiting processes within a growing organizationThe California annual base salary for this role is currently $107,000-$161,000 Pay Grades are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual pay will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: interviews and an assessment of several factors that are unique to each candidate, job related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and internal equity.ITAR Compliance: To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
