Fire Alarm Systems Inspector at Confidential Nashville, TN

Position Fire Inspector – Nashville, TN (Supports Nashville branch, serving customers throughout the greater Nashville area) Responsibilities Maintain structured inspection schedules and perform inspections, testing, and minor service or deficiency repairs on fire alarm equipment in accordance with NFPA 72, state, and local codes. Identify deficiencies, recommend remedies, and review pricing with customers. Complete and submit service ticket documentation before leaving the customer site. Follow up on corrective actions. Keep accurate documentation of all tests performed. Generate reports within Siemens tools and upload them to city municipality websites. Provide instructions to customer personnel regarding proper operation and routine inspections. Assist with training and mentor entry‑level fire alarm inspectors. Work overtime when needed and maintain stock, tools, and equipment in vehicles. Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures. Complete required training and certifications within the specified time requirements. Basic Qualifications Demonstrated experience performing Inspections, Testing, and Maintenance (ITM) of Fire Alarm and/or Fire Life Safety Systems. Mid‑level: 1+ years of experience. Senior level: 3+ years of experience. Ability and willingness to work in a variety of environments, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, high‑lift equipment, ducts, ceilings, and outside/inside heat/cold conditions. Proficient in hand tools, laptop (Microsoft Office), email, smartphone, and tablet; capable of carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted. Ability to differentiate types/colors of wire. Minimum age 18 years and possess a valid driver’s license with limited violations. Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or state‑recognized GED; associate degree in electronics or related field preferred. 5+ years of experience performing ITM of Fire Alarm and/or Fire Life Safety Systems. Must obtain NICET Fire Alarm Certification Level II within 12 months. Ability to read and understand design and construction documents.
