Salary: $80,000 - 103,000 per year Requirements:

  • We prefer a bachelors degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, or a closely related technical field.
  • We require at least seven years of experience aligned with the duties of this role, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
  • Industry and manufacturer certifications related to integrated security systems and network infrastructure are strongly preferred.
  • We need strong oral and written communication skills for collaboration with peers, supervisors, clients, and site personnel.
  • We look for strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and the capacity to diagnose and resolve problems.
  • Candidates must pass a background check, hold a valid drivers license, and be eligible for U.S. Government Security Clearance.
  • We expect practical expertise in access control systems such as Lenel, CCURE, Genetec, AMAG, Avigilon, or similar platforms.
  • We expect familiarity with video management systems, intrusion detection systems, network infrastructure, IP-based systems, and system integration/commissioning.
Responsibilities:
  • We design system architecture, engineering plans, and integration strategies for enterprise electronic security solutions, including access control, intrusion detection, CCTV, video surveillance, alarm systems, communications equipment, and related network infrastructure.
  • We provide post-sale engineering support to installation, service, and technician teams during commissioning, including diagnosing and resolving complex hardware, software, and network issues.
  • We program, configure, test, and validate security devices and integrations to ensure proper operation, interoperability, and alignment with design specifications.
  • We review hardware and software environments to identify and correct configuration issues using troubleshooting methods and manufacturer guidance.
  • We assess emerging products, technologies, industry standards, and engineering practices, and recommend standardization and adoption where appropriate.
  • We train and offer technical direction to technician, service, sales, and marketing teams.
  • We identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and network issues that affect system performance and end users.
  • We ensure our work and designs comply with applicable codes, customer requirements, manufacturer specifications, and internal standards.
  • We coordinate with project leadership, manufacturer representatives, and other professional resources on unusual or complex technical challenges.
  • We carry out additional related duties as assigned.
