Responsibilities

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Are you a hands-on problem solver who takes pride in keeping a community running smoothly? As a Multi Site Maintenance Technician at our 180 unit senior community in West Haverstraw, you will play a vital role in ensuring our buildings and grounds are safe, functional, and inviting. You’ll perform a variety of maintenance tasks, from plumbing and electrical repairs to HVAC and carpentry work, all while upholding our high standards for quality and safety.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Complete service requests in a timely manner and interact with residents to ensure their needs are met.
• Prepare vacant units to occupancy standards within established time frames.
• Inspect property mechanical systems and grounds, addressing safety issues immediately with management.
• Conduct advanced routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs.
• Perform cleaning and upkeep of common areas and grounds.
• Train and mentor junior maintenance staff as needed.
• Inspect property and address maintenance concerns proactively.
• Assist in emergency repairs as directed by supervisors and rotate on-call for emergency maintenance.
• Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and report any shortages.
• Other duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION:

• $23.00 - $24.52 / hour
• Annual Performance Bonus
• Weekly Pay
• This position is Non-Exempt, meaning eligible for overtime pay

This range is provided as a general guideline and reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary depending on a variety of factors, including the candidate’s qualifications, geographical location, and the specific responsibilities of the role. In addition to salary, this position may be eligible for performance bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.

Final compensation offers will be determined following a thorough assessment of the candidate’s background and the requirements of the position.

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2+ years of experience in general maintenance or related field.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems.
• Affordable housing experience is a plus.
• Schedule: Monday - Friday 8AM - 5PM
• Must be able to participate in the emergency on-call rotation as needed.
