This is a part-time/PRN position designed to provide coverage during the week and weekends as well as needed. Candidates should have a flexible schedule, with a tentative regular day during the week and Saturday hours. This is an excellent opportunity to join a thriving, energetic outpatient clinic pharmacy!QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in pharmacy (R.Ph.) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited institution.Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a retail pharmacy setting.Technical Skills: Proficiency in basic compounding is required. Experience with PioneerRX pharmacy management software and independent retail operations is highly preferred.Licensure: Must hold a current, unrestricted Pharmacist license in the state of Utah.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesClinical & Retail Operations: Fulfill all clinical and retail pharmacy functions, ensuring drugs are dispensed safely, accurately, and in compliance with state and federal laws.Patient Care: Provide expert consultation to patients regarding prescription medications, non-prescription products, and medical devices.Operational Support: Assist with ordering products, inventory management, and supporting pharmacy initiatives to stimulate growth within the clinic and retail sectors.Compliance & Safety: Maintain effective controls against theft or diversion, ensure accurate record-keeping in the data processing system, and submit relevant information to the Controlled Substance Database in a timely manner.Compounding & Distribution: Oversee bulk compounding and packaging for nursing homes or extended care facilities as required.Team Leadership: Provide education and training to pharmacy technicians and interns; delegate tasks effectively to ensure smooth daily operations.Facility Management: Execute opening and closing procedures, including securing the facility and managing alarm codes.Customer Excellence: Respond to customer inquiries and resolve complaints with a professional, action-oriented approach.Required SkillsStrong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills.Proven ability to prioritize, organize, and manage workflows in a busy environment.Self-starter mentality with a "team player" attitude.Demonstrated ability to manage conflict and lead subordinates effectively.Flexibility to provide coverage for the Pharmacy Director as needed.Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30-6:30 Saturday 9-1
