Category Management Specialist

Position Summary Redaptive is an Energy-as-a-Service provider that funds and installs energy‑saving and energy‑generating equipment. The Category Management Specialist reports to the Category Management Lead and supports supplier onboarding, compliance, and overall category management for the US‑based Operations team. This role drives the supplier network’s readiness to support customers through timely onboarding, data integrity, and collaboration with cross‑functional stakeholders. Responsibilities Maintain the Active Supplier Network at 90% compliance for all required supplier information and documentation (contracts, safety, insurance, code of conduct, credit checks, and EMR). Ensure timely supplier onboarding for all key partner types, targeting final onboarding within 30 days or less. Use Process Unity or any future vendor database to update supplier profiles and documentation; perform data entry and maintain data integrity via Salesforce and other internal databases. Support the Category Management Lead with supplier negotiations and new business opportunities. Assist with supplier business reviews and provide analysis for continuous improvement. Collaborate with Ops, Product, Sales, Finance, Legal, and other internal stakeholders on project alignment and category strategy. Prepare and issue project‑level contracts to vendors through DocuSign. Back up the Procurement function by supporting PO creation, SSA creation, and lien waiver collection. Evaluate supplier performance and identify improvement areas. Maintain a sense of urgency and focus while managing multiple projects and tasks. Cleanse, prepare, and upload large datasets for database uploading. Assist with standardizing and optimizing processes, including process documentation. Required Abilities and Skills Technical & Analytical Skills : Excellent communication (phone, email, messaging), strong organizational and critical thinking skills, exceptional follow‑up and task close‑out, keen eye for detail. 1–4+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management. Experience in Lighting, HVAC, electrical, building engineering, construction, metering, manufacturing, or related industries is a plus. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software. Strong presentation, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills. Experience with both commodity and service offerings is a plus. Passion for Redaptive’s mission to transform resource consumption. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). 2–4+ years of experience in category management, strategic sourcing, supply chain management, operations, or a related procurement role is strongly preferred. Experience using Salesforce, NetSuite, or other ERP/CRM software is required. Physical Demands and Work Environment Travel up to 10% of time, primarily to suppliers/contractors and industry events within the US.
