Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 am - 4:30 pm PST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.This will be paid on-the-job training and the hours during training will be aligned with your schedule during normal business hours.Primary Responsibilities:Manage the intake of members or the admission/discharge information post notificationWork with hospitals, clinics, facilities and the clinical team to manage requests for services from members and/or providersManage the referral process, processing incoming and outgoing referrals and prior authorizations, including intake, notification and census rolesProvide appropriate triage and care coordination notification cases for non-clinical assessment/interventionHandle resolution/inquiries from members and/or providersThis is high volume, customer service environment. You'll need to be efficient, productive, and thorough dealing with our members in person & over the phone.You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:High School Diploma / GEDMust be 18 years of age OR older1+ years of customer service experience analyzing and solving customer problems1+ years of experience with clerical or administrative supportAbility to create, edit, save, and send documents utilizing Microsoft Word and Microsoft ExcelAbility to work full-time onsite at 1420 S Central Ave Glendale, CA 91204Ability to work Monday - Friday, 08:00AM - 04:30PMPreferred Qualifications:Experience working within the health care Industry and with health care insuranceKnowledge of ICD-9 and CPT codesExperience working with Medicare and/or Medicaid ServicesCall center experienceExperience working in a metric-driven work environmentSoft Skills:Must be able to type and talk at the same time and navigate through multiple screensPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $18 - $32 per hour based on full-time employment.
