Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate compliance with the Code of Conduct and applicable compliance policies
• Take appropriate action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations
• Perform hard floor care and maintenance, including stripping and waxing
• Perform marble care, including grinding and polishing
• Perform carpet and upholstery care, including vacuuming, extracting, bonnet cleaning, and spot treatment
• Perform terminal cleaning of surgical suites and maintain all required documentation
• Handle waste in accordance with hospital policies and maintain the waste processing site in a clean and orderly condition
• Maintain soiled holding rooms on each nursing unit in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Bale boxes from assigned areas
• Clean all associated ancillary areas within assigned patient care units
• Respond to emergencies as assigned by Nursing or the Environmental Services Department
• Maintain adequate supplies to complete assigned shifts
• Clean equipment, carts, and closets at the end of each shift and return all borrowed equipment
• Notify the EVS Supervisor when rooms are ready for use
• Notify the EVS Department Secretary of any maintenance concerns
• Maintain assigned areas in accordance with all departmental policies and procedures
• Deliver supplies and equipment to various locations as needed
• Assist with loading and unloading equipment and carts for transportation to various locations as needed
• Assist with onboarding new employees as assigned
• Work in multiple locations as assigned
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience
• Bachelors Degree
