Real Estate Transactional Attorney (United States)

Valence LLP is seeking an experienced transactional real estate attorney to join our team.

Valence LLP is a boutique commercial real estate firm based in San Francisco and is ranked by Chambers & Partners as a leading boutique firm for commercial real estate. We represent both landlords and tenants. Our landlord clients include property owners and developers, and our tenant clients range from start-ups and emerging growth companies to public companies in technology, life sciences, manufacturing, and other industries.

We are a small, collegial team, and as a boutique we provide opportunities for meaningful client contact from day one. We pair that with infrastructure comparable to a large firm, using tools such as NetDocuments, Harvey, Draftable, Wrike, Zoom, and Slack to collaborate seamlessly whether our team is in the office or working remotely.

The Role

Our ideal candidate has 6 to 10 years of experience in commercial real estate transactions, including commercial leases, subleases, and purchase and sale transactions. We are looking for someone with exceptional drafting skills, meticulous attention to detail, and strong interpersonal and communication skills to partner with clients and successfully close transactions. This role is best suited to someone who can hit the ground running and manage deals independently from day one, with the support of our partners and the opportunity to learn our approach and systems along the way. Applicants must have a J.D. from an accredited law school and be an active member in good standing of at least one state bar. While we are based in California, we will consider candidates in other markets depending on experience, with California, New York, and Washington being key markets for us.

• Expected Salary range of $160,000 to $220,000, depending on experience and location
