Traveling Registered Nurse

Job Summary The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to patients. The RN collaborates with other inter‑professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate care. The RN demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise, utilizing appropriate age and population‐specific standards as designated in their assigned clinical setting. Responsibilities include planning and coordination of care, patient assessment, patient education, triage, and various other nursing interventions. The RN functions within the scope and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in the state of practice and licensure. Key Responsibilities Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care to patients. Collaborate with physicians and inter‑professional colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate care. Plan and coordinate patient care, including assessment, education, and triage. Perform nursing interventions within the scope of practice defined by the state Nurse Practice Act. Qualifications Graduate from an accredited nursing program (AACN, ACEN, or NLN CNEA). Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred. Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where practice occurs, or possesses multistate licensure under the Nurse Licensure Compact. Obtains and maintains required department‑specific competencies and certifications. Experience At least one year of nursing experience. At least six months of travel nursing experience. Live at least 60 miles from the location applied for.
