Lead Family Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant - Urgent Care

We are seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our urgent care team as a Lead Provider in Westbrook, Maine. This is an exciting opportunity for a clinically strong provider who enjoys fast-paced urgent care and is ready to take on a leadership role supporting providers and clinical staff.

As Lead Provider, you will deliver exceptional patient care while serving as the clinical leader for the practice, helping establish a culture of teamwork, clinical excellence, and continuous professional development.

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients across the urgent care spectrum

Provide evidence-based treatment for acute illnesses, injuries, and common medical conditions

Serve as the clinical leader for all clinical staff

Mentor, coach, and support new-graduate FNPs and PAs

Provide clinical guidance and serve as a resource for experienced providers and allied healthcare professionals

Promote consistent clinical standards, quality, and patient safety

Support onboarding, education, and ongoing professional development

Collaborate with physicians, APPs, nurses, medical assistants, and other members of the care team

Help foster an efficient, patient-focused urgent care environment

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $135,000–$290,000

Qualifications

Current Family NP or PA certification and state licensure

Strong clinical experience in urgent care, family medicine, emergency medicine, or a related setting

Previous leadership, mentorship, or precepting experience strongly preferred

Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills

Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop early-career providers
