Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Infusion/Chemo Department

We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing Infusion and Chemotherapy department. This position is essential for supporting program growth and expansion and requires prior travel experience.

Shift Type: Day 5x8 hours (08:00 AM - 04:30 PM)

Job Responsibilities

Administer chemotherapy and related therapies to patients.
Manage and care for ports and intravenous lines.
Monitor patients for side effects and adverse reactions.
Provide patient and family education and support.
Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams.
Utilize electronic health records for documentation and patient management.

Qualifications

Current RN License in California.
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
ONS/ONCC certification required.
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in infusion/oncology.
Previous charge experience preferred.
Experience with Epic charting system required.

Skills

Expertise in administering chemotherapy and managing complications.
Proficient in accessing and managing ports, including PICC lines.
Knowledge of patient assessment and management of chemotherapy side effects.
Ability to recognize and communicate abnormal lab values.
Strong interpersonal skills to support patient and family education.

Unit Details

Working in a supportive environment with a growing patient census, the Infusion Center is equipped with:

4 infusion chairs, two per room.
Interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, pharmacy, and social services.
A patient-centered approach to care for adults and geriatrics.

Compliance and Onboarding

Successful candidates must complete a thorough background check and a 7-year work history verification.
Onboarding includes completion of onboarding labs and modules, which are non-billable.
All compliance documentation is due prior to the start date.
