About the Position

Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Evening Hours per Shift: 8 hours (11 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.) Experience: Minimum 2 years recent experience in Operating Room License: BLS Certification required, RN license required Certifications: BLS Certification Must-Have: - Experience in a large hospital with 250 or more beds and level 1 trauma status - Experience working in an acute facility with 15 or more operating room suites - Experience with robotics, particularly DaVinci preferred - Strong experience in Neuro, focusing on craniectomies and spine procedures - Strong experience in Orthopedic procedures to allow for versatility in handling cases Description: Circulating nurses will document and care for patients in the operative setting. Responsibilities include sterile prepping of surgical sites, catheter insertion, and opening sterile supplies. Positioning patients for surgical procedures and documenting within an electronic record are essential. Nurses will utilize and set up operating room equipment as directed. Required experience includes general surgical cases, GYN, urology, and laparoscopic procedures. Strong neuro and orthopedic procedural experience is necessary, including navigation experience. This position may require floating to other units or departments as needed. The unit consists of 25 operating room suites, handling an average of 75 to 100 cases per day. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 to 1. All clinicians must badge in and out of the facility. Scrub color will be provided. Travelers living within a 60-mile radius of the facility are not eligible for this position. Local travel candidates may have a reduced rate if residing 60 to 80 miles from the facility. Candidates previously employed must have an end date 6 months prior to submission. Cancellation policies apply as stated in the guidelines.
