Responsibilities

Operate and maintain assigned ship’s gear cranes to support cargo handling operations.
Ensure the safety of team members on ships and in the warehouse during all crane activities.
Perform lifts as required and provide guidance to assigned crew members.
Conduct pre-job inspections and perform periodic maintenance on cranes to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Monitor load hookup and assess load safety before and during lifts.
Promptly report any unsafe operations or behaviors to the production manager.
Support company safety initiatives and adhere to all operational directives and company policies.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience operating friction and hydraulic cranes in a maritime, industrial, or warehousing environment (preferred).
Experience in the stevedoring or warehousing industry (preferred).
Comprehensive knowledge of rig operation and maintenance procedures.
At least 40 hours of seat time in all assigned equipment.
Proficiency in equipment and terminal operations.
Physical ability to safely perform all essential job functions.
Strong commitment to teamwork and customer service.
Must possess a valid TWIC Card.

The work environment includes exposure to all weather conditions and varying elevations. Noise levels may require hearing protection. The job site features a range of equipment and vehicles, and rotational shift work is required.
