Then this is your chance to join a great team at Jackson Ridge Healthcare Center where we take pride in providing our residents with the best care and meals they can receive. We are currently hiring for a Part-Time cook for our PM shift. Apply now or stop in and pick up an application and visit with our staff. We look forward to meeting you!
Responsibilities:- Prepare and serve meals in accordance with planned menus.
- Prepare food for therapeutic diets and/or in accordance with standardized recipes and special diet orders.
- Assure that food and supplies for the next meal are readily available.
- Assist in inventorying and storing food, supplies, etc., as necessary.
- Be able to read, write and speak the English language in a manner that is understandable.
- Must be able to cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
- One-year dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility or other related medical facility preferred, but not required.
- Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level they are currently functioning.
- Able to sit, stand, bend, lift and move intermittently during working hours.
- High School Diploma/GED
- Entry Level (0-2 years)
- Accumulated PTO
