Court Administrator

Under general supervision, performs a variety of administrative, technical, customer service, and court-related duties in support of Municipal Court operations. Responsibilities may include case processing, records management, customer assistance, collections, reporting, financial reconciliation, docket preparation, warrant administration, and coordination with judges, attorneys, law enforcement agencies, and the public. Essential Job Functions Assist with the daily administration and operation of Municipal Court Activities. Process citations, complaints, warrants, summons, notices, court documents, and related records. Maintain court records and databases in accordance with applicable laws, policies, and procedures. Provide customer service to defendants, attorneys, law enforcement personnel, and the general public. Receive, process, balance, and reconcile payments, fines, fees, and bonds. Prepare reports and documentation required by local and state agencies. Coordinate court dockets, hearings, jury trials, and related court activities. Assist with warrant administration and collections activities. Support implementation of technology, workflow improvements, and records management initiatives. Monitor changes in applicable laws, regulations, and court procedures. Provide assistance to other departments as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered. Education: High School diploma or GED. Associate's degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Experience: Three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative, customer service, clerical, court, legal, municipal government, financial, or related experience preferred. Municipal Court experience is highly desirable but not required. An equivalent combination of education, training, certifications, and experience may be considered. Certifications: Texas Municipal Court Clerk certification is preferred but not required at the time of hire. Ability to obtain applicable certifications within a reasonable timeframe after employment is required. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Tyler Technologies Municipal Justice software, electronic records management systems, cash handling, customer service, and municipal court operations. Working knowledge of office procedures, customer service practices, cash handling, records management, and computer software applications. Knowledge of municipal court operations, Texas court procedures, and Tyler Technologies Municipal Justice software is preferred but not required. Ability to communicate effectively, maintain confidential information, establish positive working relationships, and learn specialized court procedures. #J-18808-Ljbffr
